As AI becomes part of daily life, we’re increasingly using it for tasks that could be handled with far less computational and environmental impact. 

ALGAESYS recently conducted a factory inspection of our first Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) system from fabricator Tianniwei Environmental Protection Co., Ltd (TNW) The new DAF unit was checked and wet tested at TNW’s workshops in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, China. The unit was packed last Friday and is expected to arrive at our customer’s site in two months.

March 2020 marked the beginning of an exciting journey for ALGAESYS. What started as a vision shared by John Fagan and James Lander has now evolved into a global team of 15, expanding our impact across Portugal, Australia, and the UK. As we celebrate five years of pioneering sustainable water recovery solutions, we reflect on our progress and look ahead to the future.

ALGAESYS was honoured to be a finalist in the MERLIN Innovation Awards 2025, an event that showcased groundbreaking innovations for freshwater restoration. We were amongst a diverse selection of amazing finalists and, following our final pitches and voting by the esteemed expert panel, ALGAESYS secured second place! 🥈
